Kilowatt Bikes is the only manufacturer in the world to offer a full line of electric bikes, and we are proud to offer more electric bike models than anyone else. Our philosophy is simple: to offer a green mode of transportation that gets cars off of the road and brings some flair and style to the world of electric bicycles.

As the American League Bicyclists reminds us, 25 percent of all trips are made within a mile of the home, 40 percent of all trips are within two miles of the home, and 50 percent of the working population commutes five miles or less to work. The overwhelming number of those trips - more than 80 percent - are made by motor vehicle. A short, four-mile round trip by bicycle keeps about 15 pounds of pollutants out of the air we breathe.

Kilowatt Bikes wants to make it easy for neighborhood cruisers and commuters alike to get out of your car and on a bike that uses only a few pennies of electricity, produces no greenhouse gas emissions and is built using recyclable and sustainable materials such as carbon and bamboo.

Although electric bikes can make it easy to do the right thing for the planet, all other electric bikes share the same flaw - a complete absence of style and aesthetics. Why, we wondered, do these bikes need to be so ugly? The answer was, of course, they don't.

Using high-end materials and a funky sense of style, we brought some flair to e-Bike design. After all, just because you are reducing your carbon footprint doesn't mean you can't look good doing it.
